Ricky Ray Rector

Convicted during 1982 for the murders of Arthur Criswell and Robert Martin; sentenced to death. Executed via lethal injection January 24, 1992 at the ADC Cummins Unit.

MENU

Steak
Fried Chicken
Cherry Kool-Aid
Pecan Pie

Rector's is, on all accounts, an unfortunate story. After committing a fatal shooting at a night club, Rector had been persuaded by to turn himself in to the authorities. However, when Officer Robert Martin arrived, Rector shot and killed him, then turned the gun on himself. Amazingly, Rector survived his suicide attempt, but with brain damage that was equivalent to a lobotomy. Though his defense argued he was no longer mentally competent to stand trial, he was tried and convicted for both murders, and sentenced to death. Those who thought Rector now incapable of understanding his crimes and death sentence may cite his last meal for further support; apparently, Rector didn't eat the pecan pie, believing he could save it for later.

  1. That is incredibly sad. And yet another good reason why the death penalty should be abolished.

    1. It is so sad. This poor guy killed a nightclub doorman over a $3 cover charge, a cop and than bungled his own suicide. I fell terrible over how he was victimized by the legal system.

    2. I feel terrible too that he wasn't executed sooner.

  2. The whole Mayan End-of-the-World Apocalypse reminded me of how Ricky Ray Rector wanted to save his pecan pie for later.

  3. and his execution was purely for the political gain of Bill Clinton....bad business all round

    1. This monster got his just deserts.... Ha! Get it! The shouldve cramed the pecan pie into his dead, scum-sucking mouth.

  4. I maybe an ass but I feel no pity. If he committed the crimes when he was brain damaged then yea, but he knowingly killed two people then botched his suicide. He got what he deserved.

  5. If he murdered one of your children or loved ones would you still feel he was "victimized" by the system? Fucking sheep wake up and stop loving these animals. Piece of shit murderer who took innocent people's lives. Let someone you love be taken from you an see if you still wanna hug a thug

    1. Exactly right there. I have no sympathy for these scum bags. what pisses me off is they get a painless death compared to their victims..when they should be suffering like they caused those poor people. They deserve every pain there is. ..

  6. I didnt to this very day realize that the death penalty was objectively wrong. In watching an inmate served the ceremonial last meal something kept tugging at me saying it was wrong we shouldn't be doing it...im no bleeding heart liberal and I have loved ones too and id probably be one of those who took revenge myself, but in watching this I instinctively know its wrong to put people to death which is weird because up until this very moment I supported the death penalty wow to be wrong for so long and not even know it well im glad God works in mysterious ways.

  7. If they actually did the crime and did it on purpose then by all means PLEASE execute them! But don't make them sit for 20 years before you do it! Hurry up and get it over with!

  8. They should dig up his crusty dead body and piss in his eye sockets. Fuck this murdering pig. Jam a pecan pie in his dead skull.

    ReplyDelete

  9. BTW, I would approve of digging up his dead carcass and prying open his old "self inflicted" bullet wound to the head. I would then take a crap into his cranium and oiss on his dead skull, spit in his dead face and throw his bones back into the God-ridden hole he was pulled from. Fuck these animals. The get what the get.

  10. @stormdrain You should seek therapy. You have some kind of necrophilliac-esque obsession with putting things inside dead people and peeing on them.

You should also seek therapy because of your unhealthy need for vengeance.
